Commission Unit: Development

After completing my research I moved on to completing some test shoots. I had a clear image in my mind as to how I wanted the shots to look and I had also found some people willing to take part in my shoot.

Test Shoot 1

My first test shoot was not particularly successful but it gave me a good idea of how I wanted to reshoot in the future. I liked the positioning of the models as I felt it gave the effect that I was looking for. However I think I would have liked to have been a bit closer to the subjects as I feel it would give a higher level of intimacy and would give the viewer a better insight as to the look I was trying to achieve in my photographs.

Test Shoot 2

My second test shoot was slightly more successful than the first as I managed to gain more images and I had more variety in the positions of the subjects.
For this shoot I tried to arrange the models in positions that looked like more lifelike situations to give the photographs a narrative.
However, on reflection I do not like this idea much as I do not feel it is intimate enough for what I am trying to achieve.

Final Shoot

My final shoot proved happily to be quite more effective than my two previous test shoots as, after a tutorial, I had a clear idea of how I wanted my final images to look. I wanted to make sure that the faces of the subjects were not visible to the camera. I wanted to do this to suggest a loss of identity through  the effects war has on a person. I feel that I managed to portray this effectively, however if I was to reshoot I would like to fine tune the images more and maybe try to produce more.
Below are my final images:
